Hey, there!
I’m so humbled that you want to know more about me and my blog. First of all, thanks for being here.
I’m Sophie and I’m a solo female travel blogger from the UK. Welsh blood but raised in England. If you rewind back six years ago, I was pretty unfulfilled in my corporate career.
Like most people, I was told that having a job, a house and a family was the ‘dream’, but I quickly realised that life wasn’t for me.
So, I put a pause on my career and took a sabbatical to go backpacking for six months around South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand!
It was one of the best trips and I realised what I was missing out on.
When I returned home and resumed my corporate job, I was again a little lost.
Travelling and the soul searching it brought with it had changed me big time. So, I applied for a secondment to be a trainer in India through my job.
The next thing I knew, I was an expat living in Delhi and I fell completely in love with the country!
So much so, it inspired me to put a pause on my corporate career AGAIN. I ended up travelling six months around the country mostly solo!
That’s when Third Eye Traveller was born. Ever since I’ve travelled to over 40 countries and share my stories on this blog!
Solo travel is for everyone!
I created Third Eye Traveller in the hopes to inspire through storytelling and photography.
I often go ‘off the beaten track’ and want to show you less-visited destinations and hidden gems around the world. I want to empower you and make you feel confident travelling on the road.
Whether it’s in your own city or on the other side of the globe. I truly believe you can be confident and happy travelling by yourself.
Because if I can do it, I’m certain you can do it too!
